Pomona of Idaho!
Pari-mutual wagering started in 1964 in Rupert at Minidoka County
Fairgrounds. The track itself was modeled after the California Fair
track at Pomona, now called Fairplex. The track is part of the Idaho
Fair Circuit, and runs for five days which makes it one of the longer
meets.
In 2011 held its usual five day meet which includes the Fourth of July. Todd Thomas was the meets leading jockey.
In 2012 racing was again five days including the Fourth of July. The meets leading rider was Cody House.
In 2014 Rupurt will have five days of racing starting on July 4th with racing continuing on the fifth, sixth, twelfth and thirteenth.
